These works specifically delved into the layering of pencils and pens. I love the feel and sound of scratching a pen over a surface in all directions simultaneously. I love the sight of smoothly laying one layer of pencil over another and watching the static-like texture grow ever deeper... photos of these works can never do them justice because of this.
